At Anam Cara, every retreat is curated with the utmost integrity and deep respect for the Shipibo curanderos (traditional medicine practitioners) and the indigenous plant medicine they steward.
We are honored to work in close, life-long friendship with 3 families of Shipibo healers who truly are family to us - relationships built on deep trust, reciprocity, and love. These maestras and maestros are among the most highly-experienced and respected lineages of the Amazon Rainforest, and their presence and ancestral wisdom is at the heart of all we do.

Each place we gather carries its own unique imprint of land, energy, and culture, deeply influencing our ceremonial work. The wisdom of these sacred sites is activated by the strength of our collective prayer, both within and beyond the ceremony space.
At Anam Cara Retreats, we honor not only the powerful gifts of nature and ayahuasca, but also the importance of giving back- building reciprocal relationship with the land we heal on. This reciprocity fosters allyship with nature and spirit, extending our healing well beyond the retreat itself.
We carefully choose venues that embody sustainability, serving organic food, built with conscious designs, and aligned with a greater vision of harmony with nature rather than just vacation destinations.
Our venues are designed to be deeply comfortable and supportive, allowing your focus to rest fully on your inner work. With diverse locations, pricing, and accommodations, we lovingly meet your needs no matter where you choose to journey with us.
